At the end of this month the popular store Carpet court will shift into The Floor Store grounds at the Quarantine Rd. the move is followed after the latter hung its boots at the Harvey Norman Store. The merged businesses will operate through the brand name Carpet Court itself. The amalgamation is owned by Flooring Brands.3 of the 13 staff members outmoded due to this shift.
Tom Harvey, general manager of the recently fused business was of the opinion that it would be senseless to own 2 stores within a distance of 10 minutes, selling the same product. In place of this the thirteen thousand five hundred square meter Quarantine Rd property would become a mega store.
In the fall of 2009 Carpet court shifted from Collingwood Street to St Vincent Street as a competition to Harvey Norman. The immensity of the sales of the firm was in suburban terrazzo but the shift would permit its professional commercial group to ponder around the clock on that vocation. The trade was healthier this year than they were the preceding year but the sell was still tough, said Tom. Specialists could not predict any colossal revival in the financial system. They will continue to market under the brand name of Carpet Court as it is the strongest trade name.
